Dr Dayal graduated from Otago Medical School and completed his neurology training in Auckland. He then moved to London for a fellowship in movement disorders and worked at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, for five years. He was awarded a PhD from University College London for research into optimising programming of Deep Brain Stimulation for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Dr Dayal specialises in general neurology, Parkinson’s disease, other movement disorders, and Deep Brain Stimulation. Alongside his work at Auckland Medical Specialists, he also works as a neurologist at Auckland City Hospital.
