How to book, and what to expect before, during, and after your Auckland Medical Specialists appointment

Before your Appointment

  1. Your GP/doctor will write you a referral letter to see an AMS consultant.

  2. We will contact you to book an appointment.

  3. Prepare payment/insurance, if applicable.

On your Appointment Day

  1. Arrive 10 minutes early.

  2. The AMS consultant will invite you into a consultation room.

  3. Pay at reception, if applicable.

After your Appointment

  1. The AMS consultant will send a summary letter to your referring doctor.

  2. Your referring doctor will contact you with next steps.

Fees, Payments, Insurance

    • 183 Gillies Avenue, Epsom, Auckland

    • Take the Market Rd motorway exit, if traveling north.

    • Take the Gillies Ave motorway exit, if travelling south.

    • On-site & street parking is available.

  • Accessibility

    • There is a disabled car-park at the front, and wheel-chair access at the back of the building.

    • There are no emergency medical services on-site (other than an AED defibrillator).

    • There is no translator on-site.
