Qualifications: MB ChB 1993 Pretoria; MMed (Psych) 2001 Stellenbosch, PG Cert MSt Cambridge, CCST (UK), PG Diploma Sleep Medicine Oxford
Specialty interests: Acquired brain injury
Dr Kritzinger completed his psychiatric specialist training in Cape Town.
Thereafter he did 3 years of subspecialty training leading towards a CCST in Cambridge and Suffolk UK, which included rotations in Movement disorder, Lewin Stroke Unit, Cambridge Memory Clinic as well as the Oliver Zangwill Centre and Icanho Brain Injury Rehabilitation units.
Since coming to New Zealand in 2005, he has been attached to the Department of Liaison Psychiatry at Auckland City Hospital and has provided sessional support to the Community Neurobehavioural Service, Rehab + and ABI Rehabilitation. He has just completed his diploma in Sleep Medicine.
